Choose
from either the batting skill set
or the bowling skill set on Day Two....
The skill sets are aimed at small
groups of players to allow the players
to spend one on one time with the
coaches and in small groups to maximise
there development
DAY
1 Both the batting and bowling skill
sets come together for a large net
session allowing the coaches to see
the strengths and possible areas of
improvement for the players to address
on day two. The warm up will be a
dynamic warm up with incorporated
ball skills and short sharp fielding
skills to help the players improve
there all round game.
DAY
2 BATTING SKILL SET
The
coaches will be looking at players
set ups and pre delivery movements
if they have them, and we will be
looking to move from pre delivery
in to a strong balanced solid base.
The players will work on playing fast
bowling of the front foot and the
back foot looking to defend and also
looking at scoring areas. They will
also work on defending and scoring
against spin, how to hit into gaps
and rotate the strike, hitting over
the top and sweeping.
DAY 2 BOWLING SKILL SET
Bowlers
will be videoed at the start of the
session and after the session the
video will be broken down into photo
stills showing the bowler going through
their action and shortly after will
be emailed to the players for there
reference and to be used by there
club coach’s. The bowlers will
work on target bowling for one day
cricket, seamers will work on swinging
the ball both ways and changes of
pace (off cutters, leg cutters, out
of the back of the hand) opening the
bowling, short middle of the game
spells using their variations and
death bowling. Spinners will work
on bowling to fields changes of pace
and flight variations of spin and
arm balls. Throughout the session,
tactical discussions will take place
on field settings and when best to
use the varying changes of pace.
